Hi Jade,

Just a quick count shows that you have 6 parameters defined in the prototype, but the CALLP is passing 7, even though the 7th is *OMIT.

Subject: CEEDOD API

I'm trying to use this API and I keep getting an error.  Here's how I'm using it

 d CEEDOD          pr
 d  ParmPos                      10I 0 Const
 d                                     10I 0
 d                                     10I 0
 d                                     10I 0
 d                                     10I 0
 d                                     10I 0
 d                                     12a   options(*omit)

 d desctype        s             10I 0
 d datatype        s             10I 0
 d descinfo1       s             10I 0
 d descinfo2       s             10I 0
 d inlength         s             10I 0

c                   CallP     CEEDOD(1        : desctype :
c                                    datatype : descinfo1:
c                                    descinfo2: inlength :
c                                    *OMIT    )

c                   eval      rtnvalue = %subst(add_input:1:inlength)

Every time the CallP is executed, I get the error message 'Missing operational descriptor' (now that's informative).  What am I doing wrong?  Help!!  By the way, the above code is straight out of the AS/400 Programmer's Guide.

TIA,
Jade
