  • Subject: default value with SQL table
  • From: Phil Groschwitz <sublime78ska@xxxxxxxxx>

All,

I created a table via sql/400 and defined a date field
with a default value of 1970-12-15. When I insert a
record in the file, without referencing the date
field, using UPDDTA and SQL, the default value is
inserted into the date field. However, when I use
RPG, the value inserted into the date field is
0001-01-01. I use datfmt(*iso) on an h-spec.

Does this work in RPGIV? Or is there a compile option
or h-spec that I need to use? I have this problem on
two as/400's and both are at v4r4.

TIA,

Phil
