Hi the reason you get the duplicate record msg is because the file is either uniquely keyed, or has a logical file over it which has a unique key. (see DSPFD TEST28 and DSPDBR TEST28) The way to aviod such problems is to either check if the record already exists before writing the record, or, put an indicator into the LO indicator on the WRITE op-code which will then ignore the error & continue.
