Eric, Are you sure that you want READP(E) (read prior with exception handling) instead of READPE (read prior equal)? Stan -----Original Message----- From: Eric DeLong [mailto:Eric.DeLong@pmsi-services.com] Sent: Thursday, 30 November, 2000 12:35 PM To: RPG400-L@Midrange.com Subject: Bug in V4R3 RPGIV compiler? I just discovered a HUGE problem with a program I'm writing. I'm testing on 4.3 and determined that READP(E) statements were not working. I was hanging in a loop, because no database record was being returned. As soon as I removed the (E), the code began working again. Has anyone seen this before? I tried to look for APARs, but couldn't find it. Anyone? eric.delong@pmsi-services.com +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
