Eric,

Are you sure that you want READP(E) (read prior with exception handling)
instead of READPE (read prior equal)?

Stan

Subject: Bug in V4R3 RPGIV compiler?

     I just discovered a HUGE problem with a program I'm writing. I'm
testing on 4.3 and determined that READP(E) statements were not
working. I was hanging in a loop, because no database record was
being returned. As soon as I removed the (E), the code began
working again. Has anyone seen this before? I tried to look for
     APARs, but couldn't find it.

     Anyone?
