We have successfully printed images as overlays and page segments.
The real trick is converting from tiff to IOCA. That's the IBM APF
printer driver's purpose. Once the tiff has been converted via the
printer driver, the resulting file can be converted into an AS400
     overlay or page segment.

We were testing with an HP 4P+ laser attached via IP and host print
     transform to drive the printer.

I too am interested in how to do this. I am currently, unsuccessfully,
trying to print to a LAN attached HP8000N using an overlay. In the very
near future, I will need to print images instead of tan overlay.

I need to print a map image (in TIFF) format as the back page of an IPDS
document. Anybody out there that has done this willing to share their
experience?

Is the convert image api the way to go, or is there an easier or better
method for doing this?

The map image resides (or at least it will soon) on the IFS
