If you're not paranoid of learning something new, then a list API is your
best bet.  Check out:

If, however, you detest fast acting code you could do a
DSPFD FILE(FILENAME) TYPE(*MBRLIST) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QTEMP/MBRLIST)
and process that.

Hai all
     Is there a way to retrieve the names of all the memebers of a physical
file using a CL or an RPG program, by just giving the Physical file name as
parameter.
