I have a socket program that connects to a remote server and retrieves data.
The problem is that the data received is in ASCII and I am having some
issues converting it. I receive the data into a variable defined as 132A in
RPG. When I refer to this variable and call the utility program QDCXLATE, I
receive all @ in return (an error condition). I have set the variable to
dump when it is reached so I can look at the hex values. I see that the hex
values are valid values in ASCII. What I believe I need to do is to use the
hex value of the return string and convert the hex value from ASCII to
EPDIC. After that is done life will be easy....

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Thanks

Mike Silvers
