<snip> What can be easier than calling an API? ... I'm not ranting, I'm just curious -- can anyone give me an example of a situation where the use of an API is entirely inappropriate, or too difficult to use, or whatever? <endsnip> I use a lot of list API's. However I feel that the field list is easier served by the QADBIFLD file and it's logicals. And since it takes over 1.5GB to store this file on my machine, and I have no choice, I will, by God, try to get some use out of it! Also, how do you know that the list fields API doesn't just read this file? :-) Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole!
