Chuck, This is THE STRATEGIC DIRECTION for the language. If we choose to ignore how this feature is released, then we do so at our own peril. I'm not against free-format! I've been an advocate of it from the beginning. With respect to the semi-colon, what I'm trying to say is stop for a minute; you're essentially creating a new compiler here. So take a look at the best and the worst of other free format languages, and try to learn from mistakes of the past. There are better ways to do this than using end of line terminators, and (next on the list!) curly braces. What I see is an RPG language that is picking up some of the worst features of C in it's evolution.
