I have successfully used constants. I believe this is possible because the
constant has been defined at compile time. I question whether a true
variable will be able to be used since the number of elements in the array
must be know at compile time.

Hi All,
I am trying to use a variable for my DIM statement. When I try to compile
the program, I get an error that says the identifier is not recognized and
it is defaulted to 1.
It was my understanding that RPGILE allows for using a variable for
defining
the DIM in an array. Did I misunderstand that or am I doing something
wrong. We are at V4R2.
Thanks
Ron
