Plan C: Access the second file using SQL and avoid the record format name problem. Plan D: If you are accessing the files sequentially one at a time, for example, read all fileA then read all fileB, then open/close the files in your program and use QCMDEXC to OVRDBF to the right file. Thus you are only declaring one file. Provided they have the same layout.
