Use of 2 logical files

I have a program that is written in RPGIII(RPG/400) that needs to use two 
logical files that are based on the same physical file record format.  I 
know that you can use RENAME in RPGIV, but this needs to be done in RPGIII.  
Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this?  Thanks!
