There is a problem with RSTDSP(*YES). It restores the way data used to be. Not the way it currently is. Let's say that PgmA puts up a panel and has RSTDSP(*YES). The user performs some action that calls PgmB with a window. The user alters the data in the window (which also happens to be some of the data in the panel presented in PgmA) and the program returns. What is on the screen? The original RSTDSP(*YES) data or the true data? If you must program in a recall of true data, why bother the OS overhead of RSTDSP? IMHO, never believe anything is the way it used to be. I wear a zen watch. The true time is now. RSTDSP is then. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
