Hi Marco, Now it's clear, thanks! Hmm. When you return to PgmA after the 1st call to pgmB, I'm guessing the PgmA dsply file restored correctly, since it had RSTDSP(*YES). Then PgmA calls PgmB again and the PgmB dsply file shows ok, but the background is gone, even though PgmB has the ASSUME format. Interesting. Does PgmB do anything differently on the 2nd call? Like display a format without an OVERLAY keyword? What's the value for PgmB's dsply file RSTDSP parm? Try toggling that and see what happens.
