Forgive me. I didn't get that the floating minus sign would be on the left until after I sent the message. He'll still blow out at 18 instead of 19. If need be he could use an editW instead and not have the left-most comma. Trim works too, unless there really is 13,2 values. But gosh, use the N,O,P, & Q. The world is coming to rely on left-side minuses and we already have an image of stodgy old conventions and layouts. _______________________ Booth Martin Booth@MartinVT.com http://www.MartinVT.com _______________________ rob@dekko.com Sent by: owner-rpg400-l@midrange.com 10/24/2000 09:31 AM Please respond to RPG400-L To: RPG400-L@midrange.com cc: Subject: Re: %EDITC problem That N threw me. For my reference I have a piece of paper which came from an old O spec form taped to my mod. I had to look up N. It means similar to J, but with a floating minus sign instead. What is happening is that the floating minus sign determines that the last zero is insignificant and gets rid of it. I would suggest using J instead. Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole!
