It also works the same using RPG IV. Numeric variables will be passed properly. I have been using these examples from the S/38 days. I wish I didn't have to. Here's a rhetorical question: Why would an advanced architecture like the S/38 (now AS/400) have features like hardware tag bits yet not allow programs to pass numbers back and forth?
