>create a spool file< Just to clarify, the rotation and print density attributes are done at the printer file level, not spool file. I think that's what you intended to say, but wasn't sure since you are still having difficulty with this. OVRPRTF PAGRTT(*AUTO) works on my V3R2 system. Take another look for it. What's your OS level? PAGRTT is also used in CRTPRTF & CHGPRTF (others???) This was covered in previous posts, but you also need to consider the CPI parameter. If you're trying to print 132 columns on a letter-sized page in portrait mode, you need to specify CPI(16.5) or higher; just do the math (132 / 8" = 16.5 cpi). I use 8 inches (and not 8 1/2") because that's the max most laser printers can print on. This is assuming that your printer hardware and AS/400 printer definition can handle page rotation, CPI, & LPI changes. -------------- Original Message -------------- thanks everyone for your ideas on my problem. One gentleman suggested i create a spool file using PAGRTT(*AUTO). However, I do not have this option in my CL, when i prompt on OVRPRTF. Please excuse any ignorance i might show as i am new to programming, and definately dont know my way around CL's . Any help is GREATLY appreciated. thanks. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
