I don't see the large reply to:. Perhaps it is an issue with your email setup? In the past I noticed that my document body used to be one stinking long line stretching off to the right. Then I started manually formatting with my own carriage returns. Then we dropped our gateway package and went to straight notes and it doesn't appear that way anymore (at least to me). If I hear complaints that others still have one long line then they can drop me a line directly and I'll go back to formatting manually. Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole! I saw your comment in another post that SQL files are not necessarily closed with LR on. I have one experience with an SPLRPGLE app, and that was a minor modification task. On a side note, Rob, do you know why your replies always have the Reply-To info of over 30 lines? Or am I the only one who sees that this way? (Maybe I should check the list archives to see how it looks over there.) You should be able to see it below your reply in this post. Just wondering. The rpg close closes files declared with F specs, with USROPN. The SQL CLOSE closes cursors open with other SQL statements. The file cannot be used again in the program unless you specify an explicit OPEN for that file. A CLOSE operation to an already closed file does not produce an error. Dan Bale IT - AS/400 Handleman Company 248-362-4400 Ext. 4952 -------------------------- Original Message -------------------------- I've written an SQLRPGLE program which, from time to time, is leaving the files open that the SQL statements process - even after *INLR is on and the program ends. How can I force all files opened by the program to close at *INLR? +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
