I don't think you actually have to do anything on the AS/400 to set up ODBC (although I could be misremembering). The information you give to the ODBC driver for the AS/400 includes the information necessary to get to the file. IP of the AS/400 basically. Then when used the user needs to sign on with a valid user name and password. Then though SQL commands the AS/400 knows what file(s) the user wants.
