>> Question : Just how well can RPG4 handle null capable input files?? It is a little clutzy - but works just fine. The BIF %NullInd(fieldname) can be used to test the null indicator for a specific field or can be used on the left side of an eval to set/clear the indicator. You can even handle null capable key fields. The biggest hang-up is that moving data to a field does not implicitly set the flag, you have to do this explicitly in addition to moving the data. It can also be confusing if you have the same field name in multiple files and some are null capable and others are not. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
