You mean sockets in general, or on AS/400 in RPG specifically?  

There are literally thousands of web pages dedicated to the topic of
sockets.   "www.sockets.com" has a lot of resources for Windows Sockets
(or "WinSock") programming.   The man pages on any UNIX system will give
you loads of info on sockets programming.

A search at www.altavista.com for "+sockets +programming" yields over
33,000 matches.

If you're looking for RPG sockets, specifically, you might check out the
"Who knew you could do that with RPG IV?" Redbook that everyone is talking
about, or you might try one of the many articles that were posted in 
News/400 or Midrange Computing.

Or you could try the IBM manuals, thats where I learned sockets on the
AS/400.   but good luck, if you're not familiar with both the C
language and RPG IV's prototypes.
