I don't suppose YAHOO provides you with e-mail without requiring a lot more information than IBM will request. but don't worry, YAHOO wont pester you with spam... hopefully. IBM won't bombard you with spam, although you have the opportunity to receive notification when new Redbooks are available, as well as residency announcements. The folks that create Redbooks often include customers, Business Partners, and IBMers. They create some great technical references, and then make them available to us for free. And you quibble about registering....
