A faster way and completely controlled from the AS400 is to share the drive and directory on the PC to windows Network Neighborhood. Save the data to a save file, compressing. Mount the PC share to your as400 then MOV the save file to the pc share. Your PC does not have to be logged in at all. Christopher K. Karen Herbelin - Readers Digest 3/2000 -----Original Message----- From: Martin.Cubitt@keymed.co.uk [mailto:Martin.Cubitt@keymed.co.uk] Sent: Wednesday, September 13, 2000 6:52 AM To: RPG400-L@midrange.com Subject: Automated Batch Data Transfers from AS/400 to PC (using TTO) We have several TTO definition files on a remote Windows 95 PC. The idea is to copy master files from our AS/400 system to a remote PC as part of our Business Recovery plan. I have written a DOS batch file as follows: RTOPCB vendor.tto RTOPCB prices.tto RTOPCB product.tto RTOPCB customer.tto We want to automate this batch file to run at a particular time each night. We IPL our AS/400 each night, so any PC's connected aren't for long! So it is necessary to connect to the AS/400 before executing the batch file. How can we ensure the PC is always connected to the AS/400 when it needs to be? Do other people have similar experiences, methods, hints and tips please?
