It sounds like you don't have your field defined as being "signed". If you're doing this in SDA, type a "*" in front of the input field, choose Keying Options" and then put an "S" in the keyboard shift attribute. If you're doing this in DDS source, change the data type to "S", like so: A MYFIELD 5S 0B 11 11CHECK(RB) Good luck.
