     Try

     digits(mm) || digits(dd) || digits(yy)

     hope this helps,
     Todd

I am attempting to string together a series of numeric fields(MMDDYY) into a
view, is this possible?
The three fields I'm attempting to string are 2,0 numeric.
I have attempted the following:
1>    char(mm) || char(dd) || char(yy)  which provides spaces between the
numerals.
2>    strip (char(mm)) || strip (char(dd)) || strip (char(yy)) which cuts off
the 0's.

anybody have a solution?? I'm fairly new to sql and am hoping to be able to
create  and embed a series
of views to an rpg program for data gathering and the produce a report from
results.  Any assistance would
be greatly appreciated...

TIA
Mark A McCarty
