Small problem, is this the answer? Program A, writes a record to the order detail file using logical LL0001LA. Program A, then immediately calls program B, which is passed the order number to recalculate the total order amount in the detail file to update the order header file. Program B uses a different logical, LL0001LB, over the order detail file. Program B, does a CHAIN to the first record for the order, then a subsequent READE until end of order. QUESTION??? Where is the pointer sitting when Program B does its first CHAIN to the order detail file LL0001LB? Is it where the last record was written or where? Thanks for your help.
