I'm looking for the API to validate users, so I can build the page based on where or not they're authorized to certain programs/functions. The e-RPG book has a good example, but I was wondering if there was a system API to handle this. I guess I'm looking for the API to authenticate a users name and password. What is the name of it and what are the parameters? >>> Jim Langston <jlangston@conexfreight.com> 08/04/00 04:30pm >>> It depends on exactly what are you looking for? There is an API to authenticate a users name and password. There is a sign on screen to log into the HTTP 5250 emulator server. There is an API to change a user's name and password. There is an exit program for the HTTP server (I believe, there are for all the others). Exactly what is it you are trying to do, or what information are you trying to retrieve from the AS/400?
