  • Subject: Need help testing for date errors

Is there anyway to test if a 6,0 numeric field holding a date has a good date
before using:
                 *MDY MOVE DOB ISO_DOB

I came across a date in a file that had 023163 as the date which of course is
invalid since February never has 31 days in it.

Just looking for an easy way to do this in RPG.

Also, I'm well aware that this should be tested at the input level so please
don't tell me that.

Thanks,

Bill
