Forget teaching RPG/400 (III).  If someone knows RPG IV they should have very 
little trouble maintaining
RPG III.  You may want to touch on the major differences between IV and III but 
that should be about it.

You will want to cover all the different type of linking that IV allows, ILE, 
bound directories, service programs,
inline subroutines, intfacing to CL and CLILE, etc...

Since you teach the RPG/400 (III) class, this doesn't sound too good to you, I 
know, but... *shrug*

You will need to hit RPG II quite a bit, as RPG II is a much different animal 
than III or IV by a long shot.
QSorts, OCL, Index files, Program described files, Indicators, etc...
