  • Subject: Re: Override printer file in RPG IV?

When I first started on the AS/400, I was looking at externally described
reports.
But, the one time I needed to change a report someone else did and close to 6
hours to find the report to change (after changing the wrong file 3 times, he
had
4 copies all over the library list, but the one that he was actually using
wasn't even
in the library list) I decided it was too much of a pain.

Maybe starting fresh with a clean system it would be the way to go, but this
system
has been so messy since day one. Now it is only 1/3 messey as it was (this
coming
from other consultants who used the system before I came and currently).

One day I'll go that route, but not today.

Regards,

Jim Langston
