  • Subject: Please correct your UTC / GMT offset!

OK, this has nothing to do with RPG but with the mails posted to the RPG-list.

Some of them are having a wrong UTC / GMT offset, which makes it almost
impossible to sort the mails in a chronological order. (which is my
preferred view :-)

A false time might confuse all your e-mail receivers, not only those on
this list. It might even end up with the impression of non-professionalism
or the attempt of a fraud. Just imagine yourself mailing an offer / a piece
of work short before the time limit and the time in your mail is / seems to
be wrong... An accident? Would you buy that story?

Please set this offset to the proper value. (For Win9x, just right click
the clock in the bottom right corner and change date/time, select timezone.
Maybe you have to additionally set this in your mail program, too.)

Don't forget to do this on your AS/400, too! Use system value QUTCOFFSET.
That might prevent confusion / mistakes when transferring data (or
saving/restoring).

For example Vienna is at +02:00 (+01:00 due to geographical reasons,
another +01:00 for daylight saving :-)

Thanks for doing this favor in advance!

Best regards,

Anton Gombkötö
