I think the "thank you" messages conserve electrons, particularly for questions that many people answer. You might check the value of LOOPED before starting that DOU loop. No sense in wasting beer. <g> -----Original Message----- From: Ted Barry [mailto:TBARRY@smtpgate.centralsan.dst.ca.us] Sent: Thursday, July 06, 2000 4:35 PM To: RPG400-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: RPG Tips and Techniques We should at least stay on the subject. There's too much chit-chat on the list. It should be brief and to the point, for example: I'm having trouble with my do loop. Here's what I'm doing: C DOU LOOPED C DRNKBEER C ENDDO Instead of comments to questions, there should be more examples of how to get from point A to B and back again. Less of wastes of electrons for things like "Thanks Phil!" on a reply. Can we all agree on this? +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
