I don't know if it's that way out of the box, or ours is a modified version,
but qsysprt defaults to outq *job.  I'm pretty sure that ftp runs all
processes under a system defined user profile whose job description points
to that outq. I was hoping to find a way to point the result of the file
transfer to any outq. 

It's not a matter of life and death, but satisfying curiosity sometimes
seems more important.<G>

How about creating a new printer file, or one you already have, that is set
up
for a different output queue?  That should work fine.  The printer file
QSYSPRT
was just given as an example, since we know everyone has that printer file.
