Patrik, The reference I posted earlier contains a downloadable service program (save file) that will run an SQL statement and return the results into your input structure. The article was published in the December 1999 issue of Midrange Computing and is titled Picklists on the Fly. It also demonstrates a technique that is similar to what Booth suggested where subfile columns are moved and build dynamically. Here is the link: http://www.midrangecomputing.com/ftp/prog/99/991205.zip To restore you need to start an FTP session to your AS/400 and enter the following: ftp yoursystem <- system name or IP followed by your user name and password bin quote site namefmt 1 lcd c:\directory <- download directory cd library <- put save file into library put dynsql.savf quit Next restore the library and you will find a service program DYNSQL that contains the sub-procedures for dynamic SQL select statements. Refer to the source for the parameter formats.
