Actually it is far from a stupid question. There are several situations where this makes sense. On the other hand I have found that the ability to page back and forth through the subfile and make as many options/changes as I like is a nice feature too. Ananda, you can make pageup and pagedown = indicators and use those indicators to tell you what happened. Any input is processed first when you do this technique so your entries get processed a screen at a time I believe.
