If the file you're using doesn't have a key, it's reading in record number sequence, and the "key" you specify with SETLL or SETGT is a record number. Depending upon your OS/400 version, you can use *LOVAL or *START for the 1st record, and *HIVAL or *END for the last record. hth Peter Dow Dow Software Services, Inc. 909 425-0194 voice 909 425-0196 fax ----- Original Message ----- From: hendry tionardi <ahen75@hotmail.com> To: <RPG400-L@midrange.com> Sent: Monday, June 19, 2000 7:58 PM Subject: SETLL and SETGT > I'm reading last record and then i reading again, and it's end of file. Then > The indicator is on. > But then i'm using READP for set the pointer back, but cannot proceed. > > From the book i see if i read the last record and i read again, the result > indicator is on, and for futher proceed i must using SETLL or SETGT then > READP,READ statement can be used again. > > But the file i'm using doesn't had KEY, so how can i'm using SETLL and > SETGT?? > > > > ________________________________________________________________________ > Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com > > +--- > | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! > | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. > | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. > | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. > | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com > +--- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
