Hey David, I missed the original question. So I am taking a guess that you need multi format LF .We do something similar. PF1 -- Order Header REC1 --- Fld1 Fld2 K Fld1 PF2 --- Order Detail REC2 FLD3 FLD4 K FLD4 LF-- REC1 PFILE(PF1) K FLD1 REC2 PFILE(PF2) K FLD3 FLD1 AND FLD3 have the same attributes and in the program you read by the file name and not the RECORD name but you can record name to update records to individual PF.we differentiate between them by Flags so update the corresponding PF. Hope that helps, Rajan >-----Original Message----- >From: David Shea [mailto:dshea@arctools.com] >Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2000 11:42 AM >To: Stone, Joel; COBOL400-L@midrange.com; RPG400-L@midrange.com >Subject: Re: Non-Join Multi PF Logical File Format > > >OH MY GOD IT @#$@!$%^ WORKS!
