One question about this; as I see other "neat" things I could do in a project I am working on, being I have limited tools; this works here, but, how would you for example: run mplayer2, let it play the wav file out, then return back to the CA session. I have already gotten an ILE to use the callp to do this, however; the mplayer2 just hangs - if I could return control back to the CA session, I see some interesting potential here - power point slide shows, movie clips, or pictures associated with say a part number; a sneaky way to get graphics or other "PC" style objects on a 5250 emulation when you cannot get VRPG, or some other advanced client server tools and have to stay within a small room, no windows, just a candle for light, heat, and friendship ;) Any thoughts? Urgent . . . STRPCO PCTA(*NO). STRPCCMD PCCMD('C:\WINDOWS\CALC.EXE') PAUSE(*NO) If the Windows Calculator has been opened in your PC, and you can continue working in your AS/400 normally, then your emulation correctly supports the functions of CAO. If on the other hand, the calculator does not open, or the 400 session has been disconnected or the 400 session won't allow you to enter commands, then that means that your emulation does not support the functions of CAO. You can use any executable program in lieu of C:\WINDOWS\CALC.EXE Enjoy JW +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
