RE: Controlled ENDJOB of Interactive Pgm

The program has to cycle thru the shtdn opt code.  If the program is at dspw
it is not running and you will not process the shtdn.  First you have to get
your programs to cycle every xx seconds and in the loop code the shtdn.  One
way is to attach a data queue to the dspf and write instead of exfmt.  Then
wait at data queue, when time out, cycle thru the shtdn, when *DSPF read the
dspf other process the queue entry.  Give you the ability to remotely
control an interactive session.

We are reducing our inactive "time out" system value and want to do some
controlled shut down processing in an interactive job.  All I have read says
the ENDJOB done on a timeout is *CNTLRD not *IMMED.  But we do not seem to
be getting the opportunity to use the SHTDN op code or *PSSR.  Any advice???
