Hi this is the first time I join in this group, With regards to your 
questions. Most of the time in my programming in subfile I never used 
loading the entire content of the file into the subfile unless I know that 
the size of the file is always less than 1000 records. This is to make sure 
that the user will got immediate system response. I always used single 
subfile loading technique with positioning capabilities to specific records 
base on file key, and my program will take control of page-up/page down key. 
If you define in your DDS Display file Keyword
SFLSIZ equal to SFLPAG its mean your using single subfile loading. If the 
figure of this 2 keyword does not equal you will benefit of the system as 
taking care of the pageup/down key. But in your case I would suggest you 
used single subfile load. I dont know if you are already aware how to handle 
this tecnique.
