Booth,
Your suggestion is an excellent one. I did this for myself several
months ago. In fact, I made several templates, one for display and update
only, another for display, update, and add, and a third for display, update,
add, and also fold. It has helped very much, expecially because I may code
one subfile and then not code another for 6 months or so.

Bill

Take the two or three weeks to make yourself the subfile program template
and then use it forever, adding features as you go.

I know of no subfile wizard for RPG. Progen has been mentioned and
Progen really does do a nice job and writes a good subfile in twenty
minutes or so. Progen provides a full complement of options for the
subfile and presents the same consistent interface to your users.

Hi All,

Is there any other way to build something like subfiles to process
multiple
records at a time?
(Going through the whole lot of DDS keywords takes lot of effort.)
Some C function or some API...?

There has to be a better way of doing this.

Thanks,
Rajeev.
