RE: Question concerning entry level programmer skills

Please at least familiarize yourself with the RPG Cycle. Unless you are in new 
development exclusively, you will see cycle programming.

You should definately have a good understanding of database files and basic
logic flow of RPG programs.  There's so much you don't learn in school.  It
would help you to get a hold of IBM manuals and just breeze through a few so
that you are not overwhelmed by the complexities that you will be seeing.
