DDM files are not supported via Query/400.

If you set up the proper WRKRDBDIRE on both machines you should be
able to use SQL. Look up the CONNECT statement. However the BEST
method for the money is to create a Query Management Query using
either STRQM (if you have a copy of the files on the 170) or by
brute force. Then port that to the 720 and use STRQMQRY to execute
it.

I have a model 720 installed BPCS405CD, however we have no Query nor SQL on that
machine, we have a old slower model 170 with sql and Query, is it possible for
me to access and update the date in IIM file of the Model 720 from old one Model
170?

thanks in anticipation of your kindly help
