From: <TUCKERG@technicolor.com> > I've got plenty of experience of using user spaces to retrieve > information from System APIs... > But has anyone tried to write procedures that write to a user-space > and is it actually possible? Yes, we made it and therefore it seems to be possible.<g> This procedures (and functions) are called with a pointer as parameter. So these haven't to retrieve it via QUSRTVUS. This is only done once. Then they read/write whatever they want. Later we discovered that we could easily use the same procedures/functions with a pointer that wasn't pointing to a user space but a data structure in the calling program. Storage is storage! Hope to have you encouraged!
