I'm sure Gary points this out in his article.  But for the
benefit of those who don't subscribe to News/400 or don't
have access to his web site, note that there is no 100%
reliable technique that will let you know who visits your
web server.  For example, you can get the IP address of
the remote user, but if the request goes through a proxy,
you'll get the address of the proxy, not the real user.
