R Hello Dan, The key word is IMPLIED. The OPTION parameter has no defaults defined in the command therefore CHGCMDDFT has nothing to work on. Yes, it's annoying and yes, it's a limitation of element lists as you'll soon find out if you try to create an element list with a default value. Regards, Simon Coulter. «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» «» FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists «» «» Eclipse the competition - run your business on an IBM AS/400. «» «» «» «» Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 «» «» Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au «» «» «» «» Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. «» «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2448.0) > Date: Wed, 23 Feb 2000 12:57:42 -0500 > From: "Bale, Dan" <DBale@TFSA.Textron.com> > To: "'RPG400-L@midrange.com'" <RPG400-L@midrange.com> > Reply-To: RPG400-L@midrange.com > Cc: "'Shrader, Patrick'" <pshrader@wkep.com> > Subject: H-Spec RPG IV Option PTF > > Srop that last suggestion of changing CRTBNDRPG command default for the > OPTION parameter. Just tried it myself on V4R4 and was given the message: > > CPD6260 - No default value exists for keyword OPTION. > > So, I guess that if you want to do this, you'll have to replace PDM option > 14 with a new option that prompts the CRTBNDRPG command with OPTION(*SRCSTMT > *NODEBUGIO). > > RANT(*On : *Minor) > BTW, I find CPD6260 fairly annoying.
