                Jim,
                                I would like to know how to get it "named"
to the friendly name in
                                our system, though, so that our sign in
screen would have "CONEX" instead
                                of our serial number.

                CHGNETA  prompt:
                (System Name)  CONEX

                This name will be pending until your next IPL.  At that time
it will become the current system name.

only because we
                                do not "rename" our AS/400's, but call them
by their serial number.

                                I understand there is somewhere you can
rename them, and we are
                                able to use a friendly name in QSNADS but I
am not really sure where
                                that is stored, to be honest.
