Buck,
It goes directly from PCGET2 to PCGETSTS.  The CL program PCGET2 
DCL's it at 10 char.  The PARM statement in PCGETSTS defines it as 10A.

Rob,
I was going to say that this looks like a parameter mis-match, but I am
afraid that I'm jumping the gun.  Are there any other programs in the stack
that use REMOTE (and might be mis-matched?)  My experience is that almost
all 3601's are a parm foobar.
