Which class is this, that everybody is talking about? TIA Steve "Chuck Harber" <charber@paonline.com> on 02/11/2000 08:58:34 AM Please respond to RPG400-L@midrange.com To: RPG400-L@midrange.com cc: "Kris Nagy" <knagy@PFMAHBG.PFMA.com> (bcc: Steve Roncskevitz/Griffin_Corp) Subject: RE: Free RPG IV training? I totally agree. A coworker and I took the second offering of this class in '98. We both had extensive RGPIII backgrounds but very little RGPIV experience. The class was very intense and covered a lot of ground quickly, but thoroughly. We came back from the class with a good working knowledge of RGPIV, ILE, binding, service programs, the lot. Only thing that wasn't covered in depth was Activation Groups, but that may have changed since we took it. We both agree that if you are new to RGPIV/ILE, then this course is a must. I would recommend at least some RGPIII/RPG400 experience though. I thought that was a requirement when I took it, but it's been a while. As the saying goes, "There is no such thing as a free lunch!" S6109, as Brian says, is a very challenging course and if you want an intense exposure to RPG IV, I recommend it highly. We will work you very hard, but you will learn a great deal. If you would like to discuss it and any other education requirements that you or your colleagues may have, please contact me.
