EXFMT waits until the time given in parameter WAITRCD of the display file is
up. Default is *NOMAX, which explains why your EXFMT trys to wait forever
for input.

If you change or ovrdspf this parameter to 30 seconds, your program will
continue. With an exception, that no input could be read. You can monitor
for this by for example coding an indicator in the LT position.
